I have been photographing on and off since high school, but it became a real passion about 15 years ago, and from there, entirely self-taught, every technique I know came from genuine obsession, not a classroom. I have always been drawn to photographing people. There is something that happens in a portrait session that I cannot fully explain and have never stopped chasing.

I remember being in a bar in my early twenties and noticing a set of framed portraits on the wall. There was something about them that was different, a depth, a presence, a quality I had never seen before. I asked the owner. They were shot on a medium format camera. I saw the power in those images and knew immediately that was what I wanted to create. That moment never left me.

What drives me is not just the art. It is the psychological magic of what happens when someone finally sees themselves the way others have always seen them. I help people feel seen, sometimes for the first time in years. That is not just photography. That is something else entirely.
